This may be done either prior to speaking with someone at Bookstand Publishing or after, but this is the first step to ensure we can be as accurate as possible with our quote.

Generate Quote
We take the information gathered from you and reviewing your manuscript and generate a quote that details the cost of your requested services. There is the possibility that services will be added or deducted during the production process, which might impact the final cost.
We will always communicate with you prior to adjusting the original agreed upon quote.

50% Deposit & Contract
Once the quote has been approved, we’ll move forward with sending you an invoice for 50% of the package cost agreed upon in the quote. We will also send you our contract & agreement for your signature.
Both the deposit and signed contract will need to be received prior to us scheduling your project to be started.

Interior Production
Your project will begin with formatting the interior of your manuscript. Depending on the services, that might include inserting images or merging multiple documents.
Once the manuscript has been initially formatted, we will send you a digital PDF proof to review.
At this point you have the opportunity to request any changes you’d like made, including revisions to the formatting, grammar, addition of text, etc.
Two rounds of revisions are included in all of our packages, which means that after the initial PDF proof has been sent, you have two opportunities to make any changes.
Additional rounds of revisions after the first two will cost $85 per round.
Interior Production
Your project will begin with formatting the interior of your manuscript. Depending on the services, that might include inserting images or merging multiple documents.

We estimate about 2 weeks for you to receive the printed proof, and once it has shipped, you will be emailed the tracking information.
A hardcover printed proof can be ordered at an additional cost unless it is included in the publishing package you’ve chosen.
If you wish to make changes to the interior or the cover after receipt of the printed proof, there will be additional costs.

After you’ve approved you’re printed proof, the remaining balance of your package will be due. An invoice will be emailed to you for payment.
Your book will not be enabled for distribution until payment is received.

Publication of Print Edition(s)
Upon receipt of payment for the remaining balance, we will enable your book for distribution in its paperback and/or hardcover editions.
It can take between 2 to 6 weeks for all of your book details to be seen on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. You may also see your book on sites such as Walmart, Target, and international bookseller websites, as distributing through Ingram makes that a possibility.
Publication of Print Edition(s)
Upon receipt of payment for the remaining balance, we will enable your book for distribution in its paperback and/or hardcover editions.
It can take between 2 to 6 weeks for all of your book details to be seen on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. You may also see your book on sites such as Walmart, Target, and international bookseller websites, as distributing through Ingram makes that a possibility.
Publication of eBook Editions
Most of our packages include Kindle & Nook editions. Our Children’s Publishing Packages do not include eBook editions, though they can be added on.
It typically takes about two weeks for us to generate the two different eBook editions and get them uploaded to their respective sites.
You will receive a notification when each edition is available.

Finalize Project
At this point, your initial print copies included in your package will be ordered, along with any additional copies you might have ordered.
